Research and Innovation Fund
The Research and Innovation Fund (RIF) is a strategic fund that leverages co-investment from the Australian Government and the private sector to support the entire South Australian research and innovation value chain. It has three funding streams which are targeted to specific components of research and innovation.
- Stream 1- Funding to support research initiatives that will create innovative solutions, translate research into our industry or commercial outcomes that address economy-wide challenges for South Australia, and support the adoption of critical technologies by business.
- Stream 2- Funding to start-up and early-stage businesses to commercialise an innovative product or service.
- Stream 3- Supports innovation and entrepreneurship program, events and activities that deliver broad benefits to the South Australian start-up community.

Seed- Start
The Seed-Start program equips innovative, early-stage South Australian startups with grant funding to support the commercialisation of an innovative product or service. Funding is available to high growth potential businesses, to assist with the costs of delivering a clearly defined project that will generate significant benefits such as revenue growth, export income, local employment or other social benefits to South Australia.

Thriving Regions Fund
The Thriving Regions Fund has multiple programs with different opening dates, all with the aim to support projects that enable regional industries to grow jobs and strengthen regional communities.
